The Low Volume Lean Center began after its founder purchased and transformed his own high variation/low volume manufacturing company. While completing his transformation and supporting others he realized the Toyota Production System’s principals were applicable to high mix/low volume environments (& job-shops) with some adaptations of the specific tools. He specializes in helping small to medium sized companies in both manufacturing and non-manufacturing environments (i.e. service providers, engineering companies, defense, testing facilities, among others) to meet their financial and non-financial objectives in increasingly competitive environments.

We are a small specialized team of former Toyota employees that have all held various management positions and have not only truly experienced Toyota’s improvement culture but have gone out and managed transformations within non-Toyota cultures. Having almost two decades of lean experience provides an understanding of the reasons people resist change and the know-how to get results. We also have a wider network of associates that offer specific backgrounds to fulfill out client’s needs.

Not only do we spend our time consulting and running public workshops but we stay updated on the latest events with alliances to the major lean institutions along with research, reading and publishing books and articles.
